This open mic is held the 2nd thursday of each month.

Formerly the Circadia coffe shop and located right across from KQED's offices, this open mic is only 2 hours long and is one of the West Coast Songwriters (formerly the NCSA) open mic events. Translation: more formal in inclination than other open mics. In other words, at this event you can win prizes like free CDRs, studio time and possibly go on to play for music industry execs. It costs $4 if you want to play, but hey - you could win something. Ask for Rick, he's the shop manager & is usually around.

The other WCS open mics are 3rd or 4th mondays in Berkeley's Freight & Salvage Coffee Shop, third mondays in Mill Valley at Sweetwater, third mondays in Cupertino at Brittania Arms and 3rd Fridays at Coffee Catz in Sebastopol.
