This open mic is every wednesday except on third saturday afternoons when it's a WCS open mic event (see below).

The Cupertino Brittania Arms is one of a chain of British Pubs in the south bay and this wednesday night open mic begain in early 2006, thanks to local musicians Kristina Sablan and Darren Anderson (known together as "Firesign Entertainment"). This is a musical open mic, spoken word performers should head either to Mission City, Barefoot Coffee or north to Berkeley's Poetry slam in the Starry Plough.

On third Saturday afternoons at 1pm (sign-up at 12.30), Greg Newlon and Bev Barnett take over the Brittania Arms on behalf of West Coast Songwriters. It's $4 to perform (public is free) and you get the chance to win a prize (to be announced). The other WCS open mics are 3rd or 4th mondays in Berkeley's Freight & Salvage Coffee Shop, second thursdays in the city at Circadia (starbucks), third mondays in Mill Valley at Sweetwater and 3rd Fridays at Coffee Catz in Sebastopol.
