BUFFALO BILL'S PUMPKIN ALE

In the town where I grew up there was a small brewpub called "Pub on the Green." They used to do cool things like sell their microbrewed beer in cardboard two-quart boxes for $3. Well, the Pub on the Green and the small golf course from which its name was derived have been bulldozed to make way for some expensive, single-occupancy condominiums. However, the good people from this former pub moved about 20 miles north to join forces with the venerable Buffalo Bill's brewmaster in Hayward. Now they participate in new cool things like brewing an incredible seasonal pumpkin ale that tastes of nutmeg and cinnimon. Perhaps inspired by the old quart boxes, they now sell quart-size glass jugs, refillable for just a nominal fee.
