Yes, how could I talk about beer without mentioning at least one Belgian beer? The Belgians are VERY serious about their beer. How serious? Breweries usually have their own signature glass custom-designed to enhance the drinking of their beer. Apparently, in some bars, you are served each beer only in its appropriate glass. If they're out of the right glass, you'll have to order a different beer. Duvel's glass has a specially raised ring of glass at the bottom of their glass. The ring is meant to allow bubbles to collect more easily and help the beer to maintain its aromatic head. Big, bold, sharp and very alchoholic but not overwhelming, I've heard the proponents of Duvel say this is THE perfect beer.
